This chart was written for the Daryl McKenzie Jazz Orchestra in 2024. It originally started out as a single riff, thinking along the lines of a Stan Kenton (Intermission Riff) style chart, but with the addition of the wild baritone sax bass line and trumpet shout, quickly headed down a more crazy vibe - more in the Mingus band wheelhouse.
