I wrote this simple little swinger for a school jazz ensemble of 11 year olds. The idea is that it is full of the little things that we learn in a big band context as players. Being able to follow the lead, Basie style intro and piano figures, a chance for a trumpeter to maybe use a harmon mute for the 1st time and so forth. If you have 2 trumpets, a couple of saxes and 1 trombone this one with work. If you have a full band, then even better!
